A memorial service will be held for Clarence Uriel Moore Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 6:00pm in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Bro. Herb Alsup will officiate and interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Moore, 89, of Woodbury died at his home June 17, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Moore of Woodbury; a son and, David Moore of Alabama; sisters, Ethel Imogene Ballentine and Opal Eva Garrison both of Florida; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

He served in WWII in the Army Air Corp and later with the U. S. Air Force. He retired from the U. S. Armed Forces with 23 years of service. He was involved with the Potsdam Conference of WWII and with a Guided Missle Program at Eggland Air Force Base during his military career.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Woodbury Church of Christ or Alive Hospice. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Robert Edward Moss

Robert Edward Moss, 83, died Tuesday, July 1st at Centennial Medical Center following a short illness. He was a resident of Woodbury and a native of DeKalb County.

Survivors include: his wife of 47 years, Louise Moore Moss, sister Eva Gray Youngblood of Woodbury, several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Moss was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II.

Funeral services for Robert Edward Moss will be graveside Thursday at 10:00am in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Brother Bobby Nichols will conduct the service. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4:30pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.

Winona Churchill

Winona Churchill, 74, of Readyville died June 24, 2008. She was a native of Vermont but had lived in Readyville for many years.

Survivors include a son, Larry Churchill of Readyville; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Philip Matteson of Readyville; three sisters, Winifred Gray, Barbara Lapan and Deborah Drenth; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial reception for Winona Churchill will be held Friday, June 27th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Jessie Mae Underwood

Jessie Mae Underwood, 99, died Wednesday, June 25th at NHC of Smithville. She was a resident of Smithville.

Survivors include; sons, Joe Underwood of Smithville and Bob Underwood of Florida, daughter, Dorothy Morrison of Woodbury, brother, Owen Motley of Murfreesboro, sister Virginia Boyko of Michigan, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Jessie Mae Underwood will be Friday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 3:00pm until 8:00pm and Friday from 11:00am until the time of the service.

Funeral services for Frances West Pirtle will be Friday, June 27th at 2:00pm in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Thomas Nichols will conduct the service. Burial will be in Horton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 25th from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and Thursday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert Fuller, 85, of Woodbury died Sunday, June 22nd. He was a resident of Woodbury and a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include; his wife, Norma Rogers Fuller, daughters, Sharon Shirley of Woodbury and Rebecca Fuller of Hendersonville, sisters, Melba Barton and Pat Wimberly both of Readyville and Bettie Melton of Nashville, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He served as a Deacon of the Woodbury Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Robert Fuller will be Tuesday, June 24th at Noon in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Brother Herb Alsup and Brother Al Bugg, Jr. will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Garden. Visitation will be held Monday, June 23rd, from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.

Joyce Marie Campbell Mooneyham, 59, died Tuesday, June 17th, at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. She was a resident of Woodbury and a native of Warren County.

Survivors include, daughters, Cynthia Taylor of Woodbury and Priscilla Pitts of Murfreesboro, son, Dorris Markum of Woodbury, mother-in-law, Janie Mooneyham of Woodbury, sister, Dean Fults of Woodbury, brother Chalmus Campbell of McMinnville, 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Joyce Marie Campbell Mooneyham will be graveside Thursday at 5:00pm in Center Hill Cemetery. Brother Greg Mitchell will conduct the service. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home from 11:00am Thursday until the time of the service.

Maralyn P. Goodwin, 71, died Tuesday, June 17th at the Medical Center of Manchester following an extended illness. She was a resident of Bradyville and a native of New Jersey.

Survivors include; her husband of 50 years, Robert Goodwin, sons, Dan Goodwin of Murfreesboro and Jason Goodwin of Colorado, 5 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Maralyn P. Goodwin will be Sunday at Noon in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 11:00am until the time of the service.

Rachel B. Moses, 85, died Monday, June 16th at Community Care Nurse Home. She was a resident of Rutherford County and a native of Columbia.

Survivors include, sons, Eddie Ross of Woodbury and Roger Moses of Lascassas, daughters, Carolyn Lovvorn of Barfield and Shirley Fields of Beech Grove, brothers, Douglas Moore and Larry Moore, sisters, Shirley Hall and Nell Overcast, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Rachel B. Moses will be Wednesday at 10:00am at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. Randy Crosslin will conduct the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 17th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
