If you have recently purchased cantaloupe from the grocery store, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration wants you to take it back to the store. The fruit that has been imported from a grower in Honduras may be responsible for an outbreak of salmonella. The recall affects 16 states, including Tennessee. So far, at least 50 people have reportedly become ill after eating the cantaloupe. No one has died but several people remain hospitalized. The grocery store you purchased the fruit from will be able to tell if it is one of the melons in question.
