Sunday 7 October 2007Genevieve K. Nortof 100 of Woodbury died Thursday October 4th at Woodbury Nursing Center after an extended illness. She was a native of New York. Survivors include her niece Maralyn Goodwin of Bradyville; two great-nephews Dan Goodwin Murfreesboro and Jason Goodwin of Colorado; three great-great-nephews and two great-great-nieces also survive. Memorial services for Genevieve K. Nortof will be held today Sunday October 7th at 3:00pm at Woodbury Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington N.J. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to service time.

Ida Pearl Davis

Friday 5 October 2007Ida Pearl Davis 85 died Thursday October 4th at St. Thomas Hospital Nashville. She was a resident of Woodbury and a native of Cannon County. Survivors include; daughters Thelma Hibdon Margie Walls and Helen Ferrell all of Woodbury sisters Janie Mooneyham of Woodbury and Lavada Sauls of Smithville 14 grandchildren several great and great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Ida Pearl Davis will be Sunday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Brother Morris Moore will conduct the service. Burial in Centerhill Cemetery. Sunday 30 September 2007Eva Cook 63 died Friday September 28th at Centennial Hospital following an extended illness. She was a resident of Bradyville and a native of Nashville. Survivors include; her husband of 40 years Vernon Wilson Cook sons Steven Cook of Woodbury Michael and Jason Cook both of Bradyville sister Vivian Bush of Hartsville 9 grandchildren also survive. Monday 24 September 2007Whitney Stegall 91 died Friday September 21st. He was a resident of Murfreesboro and a native of Rutherford County. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Stegall served as a State Senator from 1965 to 1966 Chancellor for Rutherford and Cannon County for 16 years and as Circuit Judge.
