Earl M. Poss, 68, died Friday, September 5th, at the Alvin C. York Medical Center. He was a resident of Gassaway and a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include; brothers, Carl Poss of McMinnville and Don Poss of Smithville, sister, Elena Wimbush of Georgia, several nieces and nephews also survive. He was a veteran of the Army.

Funeral services for Earl M. Poss will be Sunday, September 7th at 3:00pm in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sycamore Cemetery. Visitation with the family is Saturday after 10:00 am.

Palmer Bratten Harris

Palmer Bratten Harris, 72 of Bradyville passed away Tuesday, September 2nd following an extended illness.

Survivors include; wife, Bettye Hollis Harris, stepsons, William McDaniel of North Carolina, John McDaniel of Murfreesboro; sisters, Beulah Henderson & Mae Gannon both of Murfreesboro and Lily Todd of Kitrell community; brother, James Hoyte Harris of Illinois; 6 step-grandchildren also survive.

Services for Palmer Bratten Harris will be in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 11:00 am Thursday. Bro. Howard Knox, Jr. and Bro. David Moody will conduct the service. Burial will be in Gilley Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 till 9:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Caris Hospice.

Bonnie Ruth Rogers

Bonnie Ruth Rogers, 72 died Monday, September 1st, following an extended illness. She was a resident of Bradyville and a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include; children, Janice Smith of Morrison, Ronnie Rogers of Bradyville, Timmy Rogers of Woodbury; brothers, Joe Gilley & Harris Gilley both of Woodbury; also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bonnie Ruth Rogers will be in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Thursday. Brother Joe Herbert Sissom will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Milton cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

James Edward Vandygrift

James Edward Vandygrift, age 59 died Sunday. He was a resident of Milton and was a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include; his wife, Glenda King Vandygrift, daughters, Christa Campbell & Jami Ervin both of Murfreesboro; brothers, Larry Vandygrift of Murfreesboro and Marvin Vandygrift of Lebanon; and 3 grandchildren also survive. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army.

Funeral services for James Edward Vandygrift will be 3:00pm Wednesday, September 3rd in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro. Jimmy Carver will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00pm till 8:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lorene Witty Byford, 75 of Morrison passed away Saturday, August 30th following an extended illness.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Willie Owen Byford; daughters, Tammy Bogard of Morrison, Joann Burger of McMinnville; sisters, Margie Helton & Judy Young of Woodbury; Ruth Arledge of Centertown, Beatrice Burlison of Hendersonville & Hazel McFall of Virginia., brothers, Joe Witty of Woodbury and Everett Witty of Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Lorene Witty Byford will be held in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Monday. Bro. Donald Owens will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Amity Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be after 1:00 pm Sunday.

Mary Higgins Rogers, 69, of Woodbury died Friday, August 29th following a short illness.

Survivors include; her husband of 50 years, Joe W. Rogers of Woodbury; son, Robert Rogers of Manchester; daughters, Marsha McMahan of Murfreesboro, Elisha Neiswender of Georgia, Tracy Moore of Manchester; 5 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mary Higgins Rogers will be graveside at 11:00 am Monday in the Riverside Gardens. Bro. Al Bugg will conduct the service. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, 12 noon till 8:00pm at the funeral home.
