Basketball Teams Split At Tullahoma

The Cannon County Lionettes showed no lingering effects from the heartbreaking loss Friday night against Livingston.  In turn they took out any frustrations in Tullahoma against the Tullahoma Lady Wildcats.  A very stingy Lionette defense forced 37 Tullahoma turnovers, allowed only 10 Tullahoma field goals in a 64-23 win.  The Lionettes landed three players in double figures with Abbey Sissom leading the way with 14, Joanna Young finished with 11 and  Jordan Hollis netted 10 In the boys game. Tullahoma got out to an 11 point lead before Cannon went to work whittling away at the lead and trailing by only three at the half.  The Lions were able to take the lead for a brief time before Tullahoma was able to go on another run in the fourth quarter before putting the game away 56-43.  Alex Davenport led all scorers with 9 points.  The teams will now get ready to jump back into district play with a road trip Friday at Smith County.
