Cannon County Circuit Court Activity

The husband of former Cannon County Jail nurse Kyra Robinson has received judicial diversion following the latest session of Cannon County Circuit Court. The Robinsons were indicted by the Cannon County Grand Jury on charges that they stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of prescription drugs from the Cannon County Jail and sold them on the street. Robinson was placed on judicial diversion for 4 years and ordered to pay restitution to Cannon County for the drugs that he stole. In lieu of jail time, Robinson was placed on supervised probation for 4 years to the State of Tennessee’s probation department. If he successfully completes the probation period and pays all of his restitution and court costs, he will be eligible to have his record expunged.

Robinson’s wife Kyra, who was indicted on over 270 counts of fraud and theft for her part in the scheme, will reappear in Circuit Court next year to find out whether she will be placed on probation or ordered to serve her entire jail sentence. She pled guilty this summer to numerous counts of fraud and theft.
