Cannon County General Sessions Activity

Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:

Todd Herlong was appointed an attorney. He is charged with violation of probation. His case was reset for November 4th.

Michael N. Barrett was appointed an attorney. He is charged with violation of probation. His case was reset until November 25th.

Charles May was appointed an attorney. He is charged with failure to appear and domestic assault. His case was reset until November 25th.

Steven Cline was appointed an attorney. He is charged with being a fugitive from justice. His court date was set for November 4th.

In addition to those defendants, Judge Melton also heard civil cases and about 50 simple traffic cases. In the simple traffic cases, Judge Melton either assessed a fine and court costs or ordered the defendants to attend driver safety school.
