Cannon Woman Caught Shoplifting Twice In One Day

A Cannon County woman was arrested for disorderly conduct recently after her second altercation with Murfreesboro Police Officers in the same day.  According to Murfreesboro Police reports, police responded to the Marshall’s store and upon arrival found Ms. April Burnette of Woodbury had been yelling and making a scene with management after being escorted out of the store.  One of the responding officers had dealt with Burnette earlier in the day as she was cited for shoplifting at the Old Fort Parkway Walmart.  After searching Ms Burnette, officers noticed some more stolen items from the Marshall’s store.  Management said they did not want to prosecute.  While in custody, Burnette allegedly made statements of harming herself and wrist pain. After being released from the hospital Burnette was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.  She will answer to the charge Feburary 8th in Rutherford County General Sessions Court.
