Circuit Court Activity for Friday, December 11th

Judge Don Ash presided over Cannon County Circuit Court on Friday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:

Timothy William Patrick was reset for a revocation hearing on December 17, 2009.

Kevin B. Pope, Jr.’s petition for suspended sentence was partially granted. He was ordered to serve 1 year in jail. Upon release, he will be placed on supervised probation for 3 years. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a fine in the amount of $6,000.00 and ordered to pay the court costs.

Julie Davenport was reset for a suspended sentence hearing on January 29, 2010.

Shannon Herman was set for motions on January 8, 2010 and for a jury trial on January 29, 2010.

David W. Johnson pled guilty to the charge of driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 5 days in jail, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs. He will also lose his driver’s license for 1 year. In another case, Johnson pled guilty to the charge of driving under the influence 2nd offense. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 85 days in jail, paying a $600.00 fine and paying the court costs.

Ricky Scott was set for motions on February 12, 2010 and a jury trial on April 9, 2010.

Rex Melton was reset for a plea day on February 12, 2010.

Nina J. Mayfield Odom’s petition for suspended sentence was granted. She was placed on supervised probation for 18 months. She was also ordered to pay the court costs and maintain good and lawful conduct.

Tony Barrett was reset for a plea day on January 7, 2010.

Donald Reeder was reset for a plea day on January 7, 2010.

Nick Reeder was reset for a plea day on January 29, 2010. Additionally, Reeder was granted bond. He will be released upon posting a $3,500.00 cash bond.

Eddie Farris was reset for a plea day on January 7, 2010.

Thomas Clay Davis’ petition for suspended sentence was partially granted. He was ordered to remain in jail until December 23, 2009. Upon release, he will be on supervised probation for 2 years. In addition, he will pay the court costs and maintain good and lawful conduct.

Robert Wayne Barrett was reset for a plea day on January 7, 2010.

Randy Durham was reset for a plea day on February 12, 2010.
