Early Morning Crash Sends Two Local Residents To Hospital

A two vehicle crash shortly before 7:00am Wednesday sent two local residents to the hospital. According to reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Cannon County juvenile was driving east on Highway 70 (toward McMinnville) when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle spun around and struck an on-coming vehicle in the west bound lane. Noah DeBerry of Short Mountain Road was the driver of the second vehicle.

The crash totaled both vehicles according to Trooper Bruce Pryor. The juvenile and DeBerry was both transported to Stones River Hospital. The juvenile was released from the emergency room by mid-morning. DeBerry was kept for observation. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Trooper Pryor was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Prater of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, members of the Cannon County Sheriffs Department, Cannon County Emergency Medical Services, Rescue Squad and Woodbury Fire Department.
