Emergency Dental Care Funding

Wednesday 10 September 2008Seven Tennessee healthcare providers have been awarded 203-thousand dollars in Safety Net funding to provide emergency dental services for uninsured adults. It’s part of Governor Phil Bredesen’s effort to strengthen the state’s healthcare Safety Net and makes primary care services more accessible to uninsured Tennesseans. Bredesen says the state is committed to making basic healthcare services available to state residents and establishing a network of resources to serve those who do not have insurance. Of the healthcare providers named in the grant only one is based out of Nashville and that’s the Interfaith Dental Clinic.
