The 2012 Farm Family school is scheduled to begin on Thursday January 12th with the Mid State Producers annual meeting. Following the business meeting, Dr. Emmitt Rawls will discuss the outlook for the beef industry. Dr Rawls is serving the University of Tennessee in an interim position as professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. He has been instrumental in assisting producers in marketing decisions ranging from retained ownership to maximizing profits through weekly Sales.
