A Decherd woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a large assortment of cash and prescription medication from a local resident. Melissa Archey, age 32 of Decherd, was arrested and charged by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Young with theft over $1,000.00 after she reportedly stole over 30 pills and $700.00 from a home on Pedigo Lane.
According to court documents, Archey gained entry into the home and broke into a lock box which contained the cash and pills. After an investigation, officers developed Archey as a suspect and obtained a warrant for her arrest.
