General Sessions Court Activity On Tuesday, January 12th

Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:Jerry F. Stacks, Jr. pled guilty to the charge of simple possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $250.00 fine and paying the court costs. In another case, Stacks pled guilty to the charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 48 hours in jail, paying a $350.00 fine and paying the court costs. In addition, he will lose his driver’s license for 1 year.
Melissa Archey was bound over to the January, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. She is charged with theft over $1,000.00.
Allison Danielle Church was bound over to the January, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. She is charged with promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Vickie D. Marsh was bound over to the January, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. She is charged with driving under the influence, violation of the State’s implied consent law and failure to carry and exhibit driver’s license.
Jessica Walls pled guilty to the charge of driving on a suspended license. She was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 30 days in jail, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs. She also lost her driver’s license for 1 year. In another case, Walls pled guilty to the charge of simple possession of schedule III drugs. She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 30 days in jail, paying a $750.00 fine and paying the court costs.
