Tuesday 29 April 2008A local woman’s act of giving a ride to another has led to her being attacked and robbed. Lori Ann Manier was arrested by the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department and charged with robbery after she allegedly beat the woman and stole her wallet after the victim gave her a ride home. According to court documents Manier allegedly became agitated when the woman refused to pay her money Manier believed she owed her. Manier escaped with the wallet. At the time of the attack Manier was out on bond for stealing a car. Prior to the robbery Warrants had been taken out for Manier after she allegedly stole a woman’s debit card and used it at several local stores. Currently Manier is charged with theft over $1 000.00 theft of property two counts of fraudulent use of a debit card and robbery. She is in custody and is being held without bond. No one was seriously injured during the attack.
