The Cannon County Lionettes looked like they were going to run away with their second round contest of the Sonic Shootout in Sparta Tennessee at White County High School as they led by double digits all throughout the first quarter against District 7-AA member Bledsoe County. Bledsoe turned it around in the second quarter, grabbed the lead and didn’t give it up until late in the fourth quarter. The Lady Warriors were able to tie the game up twice before the end of the period forcing overtime tied at 57 all. Lionettes got two big baskets from leading scorer Maleah Scott to take the win in overtime 63-60. Scott led the way with 22 points. Two other Lionettes scored in double figures for the Lionettes. The Lionettes will finish the Shootout Thursday battling for fifth place. Game time will begin at 2:00.
