Livingston Sweeps “WhiteOut” Games

After the Cannon County Basketball Games, fans covered the floor with toilet paper as part of a whiteout fundraiser.  The Basketball teams would like to use white out to erase the losses both teams ended up with to Livingston Academy. In the Girls Game, the Lionettes were in the lead most of the way against the Lady Cats of Livingston Academy.  After leading by as many as 11, the Lady Cats fought back and led at the end of the third quarter 32-30.  Cannon would exchange the lead a couple of times in the 4th quarter and through a controversial call would lead 44-43.  The Lionettes turned the ball over and another controversial call would send Livingston to the free throw line with 4 tenths of a second left.  Livingston made both pressure free throws and escaped with a 45-44 win.  Abbey Sissom led all scorers with 22 points.
Mason Ramsey was heralded as a better player than his younger brother Logan Ramsey.  Logan came in to prove differently as the 6 foot 9 inch center contributed 28 points as Livingston beat the Lions 58-36.  Cannon was led in scoring by Cory Henley and Jarrett Melton with 9 points each.
