McReynolds Leads Lionettes To Win. Three Lions Help Boys Coast

The Warren County Lady Pioneers may have broken the consecutive string of quarters that the Cannon County Lionettes have led opponents this early season but the Lionettes were able to get the stat that mattered the most….the “W”.  Lionette guard Erin McReynolds scored 13 of her game high 17 points as Cannon County outlasted Warren County 52-48 in the battle of early season unbeaten teams.  Autumn King spent most of the game in foul trouble as the Warren County’s post players were the strength of their team.  Out of 48 points, 25 points were scored inside including 18 from post player Karagan Turner.  Cannon becomes the only 8-AA team to notch a win against their next door neighbors as Warren had beaten Dekalb and Upperman already this year. The nightcap turned into a nightmare for the Warren County Pioneers.  The Lions got out to a huge lead before Warren County scored their first field goal with a little over three minutes to play in the first quarter.  The transition game was hitting on all cylinders as Cannon coasted to a 69-42 win.  The highlight reel flavored victory saw Josh Ruehlen, Jacob Nave and Garrett McReynolds lead the team in scoring with 10 points each.  Cannon’s record is now 3-1 as next up for the Lions and Lionettes will be in the Cannon Thanksgiving Classic Friday evening.
