    Monday 25 February 2008Caidyn Michael Brawner 2 month old infant died at his residence Thursday February 21st. He was a resident of Hermitage. Survivors include; parents Jason Randall Melin and Amy Elizabeth Brawner brother Matthew Daniel Stripling sister Cierra Skye Witty of Cannon County grandparents Terri and Dale Witty of Cannon County Claude Brawner Junior of Lebanon Troy and Cindy Melin of Mt. Juliet great-grandparents Lloyd and Judy Melin of Mt. Juliet Elsie Ethridge of Madison Claude Brawner Senior of Lebanon Charles and Sue Parham of Murfreesboro Judy and Robin Pitts of Murfreesboro. Memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7:00pm at Walter Hill Baptist Church. Brother Michael Hale will conduct the service. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday at 6:00pm until the time of the memorial service. DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville is in charge of the arrangements.

  • Hiram Campbell

    Saturday 23 February 2008Hiram Campbell 90 of Rock Island died Friday February 22nd at Riverpark Hospital in McMinnville following an extended illness. He was a native of Cannon County. Survivors include; daughter Charlotte Taylor of Rock Island grandson Richie Taylor of Rock Island 3 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Brother Howard Knox Jr. will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Gardens. Visitation with the family Sunday from 1:00pm to 7:00pm Sunday. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  • Bettie Sue Moore

    Wednesday 20 February 2008Bettie Sue Moore 70 died Wednesday February 20th. She was a resident of Woodbury and a native of DeKalb County. Survivors include; her husband Bill Moore; son Bobby Moore of Woodbury; daughter Kim Bailey of Murfreesboro; brother Sam Hill of Indiana four grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Bettie Sue Moore will be held Saturday February 23 at 2:00pm in chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Brother Herb Alsup will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 3:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Adams Memorial Library.     Saturday 16 February 2008Raymond Lewis 85 died Saturday February 16th at Boulevard Terrace following an extended illness. He was a resident of Bradyville and native of Cannon County. Survivors include; wife of 56 years Lucille Lewis daughter Ann Vinson brothers Clyde Lewis and Jimmy Lewis both of Woodbury Broadus Lewis of McMinnville 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Raymond Lewis will be graveside at Amity Cemetery Tuesday at 11:00am. Visitation with the family will be Monday 11:00am till 9:00pm. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Thursday 14 February 2008Dawn Marie Sherwood 38 died Monday February 11th at Williamson Medical Center following a short illness. She was a resident of Woodbury and a native of New Jersey. Survivors include mother Florence House Sherwood brothers Robert C. Sherwood Jr. and Jonathon Joseph Sherwood all of Woodbury sisters Brenda L. Sherwood of Florida and Wanda Lee Sherwood of New Jersey. No funeral services for Dawn Marie Sherwood are scheduled at this time.

  • Elsie Lou Ada Barks

    Monday 11 February 2008Elsie Lou Ada Barks 75 died Monday at White County Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was a resident of Doyle and a native of White County. Survivors include; brothers Merle Barks and Charlie Ray Barks both of Rock Island Hubert Barks sister Sally Thomas of Woodbury several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Elsie Lou Ada Barks will be Wednesday at 2:00pm in the chapel of High Funeral Home. Buck Martin will conduct the service. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from Noon until 9:00pm and Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expense. High Funeral Home McMinnville is in charge of the arrangements.

  • Violet Mae Hurstrom Vancil

    Friday 8 February 2008Violet Mae Hurstrom Vancil 89 of Woodbury passed away Thursday February 7th following an extended illness. Survivors include; daughters Imogene Stoneking of Woodbury Dorothy Tank of Illinois Alice Wilson of Jackson Beverly Vancil of Jackson 15 grandchildren several great grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Martin & Alice Beck Hurstrom her husband Dan Vancil 2 sisters & 3 brothers. Private graveside services for Violet Mae Hurstrom Vancil will be held at a later date. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Friday 8 February 2008Elizabeth Clark 75 died today February 8th. She was a resident of Readyville and a native of Connecticut. Survivors include her husband of over 50 years Donald Clark Sr.; sons Donald Clark Jr. of Readyville and Timothy Clark of Murfreesboro; daughters Donna Higginbotham and Lillian Penn both of Williamsport Sally Santiago of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Elizabeth Clark will be Monday February 11th at the Woodbury United Methodist Church. Donna Higginbotham will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday February 10th from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Smith Funeral Home. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  • Savannah Rose Butcher

    Thursday 7 February 2008Savannah Rose Butcher 20 formerly of Cannon County died January 29th in Texas. She was a native of Manchester. Survivors include; her mother Luanne Rains of Texas and her father James T. Butcher of Illinois brothers Nicholas Butcher and Ricky Butcher of Woodbury; grandmother Nancy Van Dyck of Illinois. Funeral services for Savannah Rose Butcher will be in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home Saturday at 2:00pm. T. B. Gentry will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Cherry Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday February 9th from Noon until the time of the service.   • Dwayne Johnson Junior

    Sunday 3 February 2008Dwayne Johnson Jr. 28 died Wednesday January 30th. He was a resident of Indianapolis Indiana. He was a former resident of Cannon County and graduated from Cannon County High School in 1998. Survivors include his wife Ginger Johnson; parents Dwayne Sr. & Donna Johnson of Woodbury; son Johnny Guffy III; daughter Kayla Childs; brother Jeremy Johnson; grandparents Ray & Lorraine Rigby. Graveside services for Dwayne Johnson Jr. will be Wednesday February 6 2008 at 12 Noon. T. B. Gentry will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Garden. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
