The new year began yesterday for all of us. For the Cannon County Chamber of Commerce the year will begin next Thursday with the installation of officers and new board members. Today, Friday January 2nd, is the last day for chamber members to submit ballots and confirm reservations for next Thursday’s installation banquet.
The annual banquet is an opportunity to review projects of the past year and preview projects for the new year. Over the past several years the banquet is also used to recognize members of Leadership Cannon. The leadership class gives individuals a better understanding of the communities around them. Leadership Cannon assists with the chamber’s work with the state’s 3 Star Community program.
Any members who did not receive a ballot or the information packet sent out last month may call Chamber Coordinator Carolyn Motley at 563-2222.
