Westside School Wins First Annual Battle Of The Books Contest

The Staff of the Adams Memorial Library announced the winner of the recent First Annual Book Battle Competition was the Westside School.  The contest was between all the Cannon County Schools.  The winner was decided by taking the number of books read by each school and dividing it up by the number of students to determine a percentage point.  This kept the final count close and gave each school a chance to win.  Coming in second place was Short Mountain.  Mrs. Kathy Gannon’s 2nd Grade class at Westside was the winning class room in the contest.  Her class read an outstanding total of 925 books.  In total all schools read a total of 2416 books during the contest.
