Woman Gets Bit By Dog Doesn’t Prosecute

A Cannon county woman who was bitten by a dog decided against prosecuting.  According to Sheriff’s Department reports Ms. Patsy Hirlston stated that she was walking down the road and several dogs came out of a driveway growling at her.  A small brown dog ended up bitting her in the left lower leg.  Deputies went to the address in question and spoke to the homeowner and told her to produce a copy of a rabies certificate which the woman never did.  The report concluded by stating the deputy was going to return back to the residence to issue a citation for animals at large.
