The list is growing smaller each week. 34 people are scheduled to appear before Judge Susan Melton in Cannon County General Sessions Court. A few weeks ago in one of the longest dockets of the history of Cannon County Court, over 100 people appeared in Court. Last week the number decreased to 59. This week among the 34, those with 4 or more charges scheduled to appear include Cory Allen Chapman, charged with aggravated burglary, 2 counts of theft under $500.00, and motor vehicle burglary. Christopher Lee McMahan, 2 counts of felony evading arrest, traffic control device, unregistered vehicle and failure to stop at a stop light. Several cases on the docket involve charges of suspended or revoked licenses and domestic assault.
