A McMinnville Hwy man was arrested in Murfreesboro over the weekend after witnesses called police stating that he was driving all over the road. According to Murfreesboro Police Department reports. Officers stopped Dee Emmett Carter of McMinnville Hwy Woodbury at the intersection of Broad and Church Street after observing the car he was driving which was a 2009 Grey Chevrolet Malibu with one headlight out. This was the same car that police had received a call about. After pulling him over for the light law violation, officers smelled the odor of an intoxicant. Officers stated that Carter had blood shot eyes and slurred speech. Carter failed sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DUI. He will answer to the charge on June 28th in Rutherford County General Sessions Court.
