The Cannon County Budget Committee will go back to work this Thursday August 4th at the Courtroom of the Cannon County Courthouse. The BudgetCommittee met a total of 12 times during the May-July time period making cuts and coming up with ways to increase revenue in order to help fund the
budget. The Cannon County Commissioners led by Commissioner Kevin George wanted solid fiscal year end figures before making a decision during the
Commission meeting back in the middle of July. The figures are now in and George along with the rest of the budget committee will look into those
figures and possibly make some more cuts before a revised recommendation is made before a special called Commission meeting. The Budget Committee will start Thursday night at 6 p.m.
