The Cannon County Republican Party is looking for a new Chairperson following the resignation of Marcus Bowling this past Saturday. Mr. Bowling had a change of venue of his job as a medical supply consultant and felt that he couldn’t provide the necessary dedication that he believes the job of Chairperson required. Although he has held the office of chairperson for a short period of time, he has been instrumental in helping to reorganize the Cannon County Republican Party since October of 2010 and a key force behind meetings and events held during that time. The Cannon County Republican Party will hold a general meeting on Saturday August 13th at 4:00 in the afternoon at the Cannon County Courthouse. The agenda items include Consideration and election of role of Chairperson for the Cannon County Republican Party and to approve by-laws for the Cannon county Republican Party.
