A Cannon County woman has been charged with giving a false report and criminal trespass after she allegedly lied to a Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Monday. Tiffany Mullins-Cross faces the two charges after she was spotted by Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Randy Neal on a tan Honda 4-wheeler on Prospect Road. Sergeant Neal was patrolling the area and as the 4 wheeler passed by him, he immediately recognized a passenger on the 4 wheeler, David McPeak, who had several warrants out for his arrest. In the process of turning around to pursue the 4 wheeler, Ms. Cross then cut across and rode through a person’s property on her way to a residence on Pleasant View Road.. Sgt. Neal was able to catch up to Ms. Cross at the residence and also saw the 4 wheeler but by the time Sgt. Neal arrived, Mr. McPeak had already escaped. Ms. Cross stated that she did not know where Mr. McPeak was at and then stated that Mr. McPeak was not on the 4 wheeler with her at any point in time. As a result of the statement, Ms. Cross was charged with giving a false report. Ms. Cross had also been warned by the property owner, Darlene Holt, not to be on her property again. As a result of Ms. Cross cutting through and riding through Ms. Holt’s property she was also charged with criminal trespass.Ms. Cross has made bond and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court On July 12th
