The Cannon County Sheriff’s Office investigated a car fire recently According to Cannon County Sheriff’s Department reports, deputies were dispatched out for a vehicle on fire and no knowledge of whether there was anyone inside the vehicle. Upon arrival, the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames. The fire department was there working on putting the fire out. There was no body in or near the vehicle. There was nothing left of the vehicle except for the frame, engine and part of the front bumper. The bumper was white and had a plate from Jennings Motors Woodbury TN on it. The car could possibly have been a white Ford Taurus. There were no skid marks or any other indicators that the vehicle had been in an accident. There were marks from where it went over the embankment but none showing where someone tried to stop it. It appeared to have been put there intentionally. Sheriff’s Department is still investigating.
