An autopsy was performed yesterday in the death of a Cannon County woman. The procedure was requested to assist officers in their investigation of the death.
According to Cannon County Sheriff Billy Nichols, “ It will be some time before we have the full results of the autopsy. At this time the early indications are the death was the result of suicide.”
Russell Walls called dispatchers at the 911 Center Monday morning to report finding his wife, Rhoda Walls hanging from a tree in the yard of their Parch Corn Road home.
The two reportedly got into an altercation Saturday night. Russell Walls is 28 years old, Rhoda was 23 and they have a 5-month-old son.
