The recessed meeting from Monday night’s Cannon County Election Commission resumes today. After the Commission voted 3 to 2 to fire Election Administrator Stan Dobson, the Commission will have to go to work in appointing an interim Administrator of Elections. The interim will handle the responsibilities of the position until after the upcoming August 2nd election with early voting beginning July 13th. Former Administrator of Elections Mary Lynn Bush is one of the names being mentioned as filling the interim. Assistant Administrator Dorinda Mankin is handling the day to day responsibilities in the office. The meeting starts tonight at 5:30 at the Election Office
