Israel “Black Cat” Murin, 73, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at his home in Smithville. He was born in Mercedes, Texas to his parents, Manuel and Rumalda Marin.
He is survived by his children, Nohelia Rodriquez (Josue Sosa) of Smithville, Israel (Graciela) Murin and Elsa Monzalvo (Edwin Pic) all of Woodbury; 13 grandchildren, Tony, Cheyenne, Sandra, Kayla and Luis Murin, Sergio Velasquez, Esperanza Monzalvo, Linzie Pic, Jose, Victor and Francisco Bustamante, Esai Rodriquez, Alexi Monzalvo and sisters, Rose (Salvador) Mendoza and Nohemi (Pablo) Lopez all of Texas. 13 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Israel enjoyed singing and playing guitar. He also loved to read his bible. He was a member of the Pentecostal church and he worked in Masonry.
Graveside Services will be 4:00 pm Monday, April 27, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery with Bro. Dave Dawson officiating. His son and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
