He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Tenpenny Northcutt of Readyville; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Beth Daniel Northcutt of Woodbury; 2 grandsons, Daniel & Jeffery Northcutt; 2 special cousins, Mary Neil McElory Easley and Martha McElory Golden; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patsy and Jerry Gaither of Nashville, several nieces and nephews and his caregivers, Darla Cunningham and Christy Arnold.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Robert Northcutt.
A member of the New Hope church of Christ, Don was retired from Textron in Nashville where he was a tool and die maker. He loved sports and enjoyed riding and showing Spotted Saddle Horses. In 1999, he won the three-year-old World Grand Championship on Levi’s Limited Edition.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 19, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Richardson and Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers include Daniel & Jeffery Northcutt, Jimmy Alexander, Gary Rains, Mark Smithson and Tony Brown.
Visitation with his family will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
