July 4th Accident in Warren County Injures 4 Woodbury Residents, Claims Lives Of Two Others

A head on collision in Warren County involving residents from Woodburyclaimed the lives of two people from Brush Creek.
According to reports from wjle.com, 31 year old Derrick Reeder and 24 year
old Brittnay Fitts died from injuries sustained when Reeder’s 1997 Accura
went into a slide after locking his brakes and hitting a 1995 Ford Mustang
driven by 24 year old Tammy Edwards from Woodbury head on. Edwards had
crossed over the center line causing the accident. The Tennessee Highway
patrol said the crash happened Monday on Shelbyville Road. Others injured
in the accident was 24 year old Kara Funk, 22 year old Brandon Byford both
of Smithville and a juvenile from Gordonsville who were all in the car
driven by Reeder. Three juveniles from Woodbury were in the Edwards
vehicle.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Dwaine Jennings and
Lieutenant Randy Maynard.
