Lionettes Get Revenge From Earlier Loss

The Cannon County Lionettes won their third consecutive basketball game Monday night as they got a little revenge on a two point loss to Warren County back in November with a 55-45 win over the Lady Pioneers in Woodbury.  Warren led most of the first half but after their main post player got in foul trouble, the Lionettes staged a comeback and cleared the ten point win in the fourth quarter.  Maleah Scott scored 18 of her game high 20 points in the second half to lead the way.  Cannon’s overall record moves to 5-6. The Warren County Pioneers found the three point shot rhythm and leaned on it in the third quarter to win by 14 over Cannon 66-52.  The Pioneers hit five three point shots in the third period to go up by 21.  Cannon outscored Warren in the final frame 19-12 but lost by 14 to go to 2-9 before the Christmas break.  Wade Love scored 19 to lead in the Lions loss.
Next games will be Thursday December 28th at 12:00 noon at Friendship Christian Academy.
