Lionettes Win Second Consecutive, Lions Lose By 10

The Cannon County Lionettes are now two games below .500 after the Lionettes played another solid game in winning their second in a row beating Central Magnet of Murfreesboro 50-26.  After a low scoring first quarter the Lionettes exploded in the second quarter as their defensive press was too much for Central to handle.  The Lionettes were able to hold Central scoreless in the third and led by as many as 30 before the end of the game.  Maleah Scott led the Lionettes with 13 points.  Lionettes are now 4-6 overall with their next game Monday at Robert A Harris Gym against Warren County. Cannon County Lions didn’t get started the way they wanted to.  Brandon Miles returned from injury.  The zone defense gave up six three point shots as Central led at half 27-19.  Central maintains the lead with Brandon Miles picking up his fourth foul going into the fourth quarter 39-32.  Cannon never could get a run going in the fourth and Central went on to win 54-44.  Leading scorer for Cannon was Wade Love with 15.
