Lions and Lionettes Basketball Teams Get Ready For Noon Action Today

The Cannon County Lions and Lionettes Basketball teams return to the hardwood today as they will be participating in the Friendship Tournament at Friendship Christian School in Lebanon.  The Lionettes have put together a nice three game winning streak right before the break with wins over York, Central Magnet and Warren County.  They are one game away from evening up their overall record as it currently stands at 5-6.  Jackson Christian is their first round opponent.  The Lady Eagles are 7-5 in Division II. The Lions would like to put a winning streak together starting in the tournament but they have their work cut out for them in the first round when they meet Lead Academy.  The Nashville team is 11-1 and have claimed a 9 point win over a common opponent they shared this season against Central Magnet.
Ballgames will get started at 12 noon with the Lionettes and the Lions playing at 1:30 afterwards.  You can hear the games live on AM-1540/FM 107.1 WBRY and streaming online at wbry.com.
