The Christmas tree at the Cannon County Jail is ready for Santa and his elves to deliver Christmas presents to children beginning December 21st through December 23rd. A total of 122 toys were collected for this yearly event conducted by Sheriff Nichols and his department.
“I want to thank all the individuals in the community who donated gifts to this worthy effort,” said Sheriff Billy Nichols. “I want to also thank the employees of my department and also the Cannon County Cruisers (a local classic car club) who also donated their time and gifts to help make a happy Christmas for a lot of children.”
Toys will still be accepted today at the jail for the drive.
