The murder trial for a Cannon County woman who is accused of robbing and killing a former state trooper has been pushed back to January. Tina Williamson of Woodbury faces first-degree murder charges in the August 31st shooting death of 83-year-old trooper General “Jack” Rains. She’s also charged with robbery.
Williamson’s trial was originally scheduled to start today. However, it’s been pushed back because the medical examiner who conducted Rains’ autopsy is on vacation. Williamson remains free on a 600-thousand-dollar bond.
