New EMA Director Named As Current One Resigns

Current Cannon County EMA Director Justin Harris has resigned his position effective at the end of the day Friday.  Harris has accepted a positon with the Rutherford County Emergency Management Services.  One of the most important things that Harris accomplished during his short tenure as EMA director was that he was able to play a big part in restoring relationships with the Department of Homeland Security and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.  Cannon County Executive Mike Gannon has already found his replacement.  Current Cannon County 911 Services Director Roy Sullivan will be adding that role to his work in the County.  Sullivan is very knowledgable about emergency management and worked closely with Justin during his time as EMA Director.
