The replacement of a culvert on Center Hill Road will force the closing of a section of the highway today, Tuesday May 19th. Highway 281, between the McMinnville Highway (70S) and Short Mountain Road (146) will be closed so the Tennessee Department of Transportation can make needed repairs. The highway should be closed from 8:30am until about 3:00pm. According to the local office of the highway department, this should be the only day that work will cause the road to be closed. Additional repairs will result in the closing of only one lane at a time.
