Roger Wayne Warren

Roger Wayne Warren, 66, of Woodbury, TN. passed away on March 6, 2023 at his home.   He was born at Good Samaritan Hospital on November 4, 1956.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Archie Paul Warren and Macon Jane Driver Warren and mother-in-law, Shirley Stewart Estes.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan Annette Estes Warren; daughters, Angel (Jay) Puffenbarger; Jan (Chris) Young  both of Woodbury; son, Steven (Jessica) Warren of Short Mtn.; brother, Ray (Patricia) Warren of Bon Aqua and sister, Helen (Ken) Kelly of Watertown; grandchildren, Shelbie & Tyler Campbell, Jasmine, Dalton and Jayda Young, Jackson & Sawyer Warren; father-in-law, Doris (Janet) Estes of Murfreesboro.  Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger was a faithful and loving husband, daddy and friend.  He loved mechanic work and building motors to run fast.  He loved fishing, football, playing with his grandkids and Dale Earnhardt. 

He worked for Bill Trail Motor Co for 16 years.  Jennings Motors for 12 years and he retired from the Town of Woodbury which he worked for 14 ½ years.

Roger was always an honest and outspoken man.  He loved his family above anything else.  He was devoted to making sure family came before himself.  He fought cancer until the end and was very strong when it came to fighting the battle.

His family would like to thank Bill Jennings & family, Susan Trail & family and the Town of Woodbury for their devotion to the Warren family.

Visitation with his family will be from 11 am – 8 pm Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell and Bro. Greg Cripps officiating.  Interment will follow in Webb Cemetery, Dibrell, TN. 

Pallbearers include Dalton Young, Tyler Campbell, Wesley Young, David Goin, Kirk Todd and Timmy Stone.  Honorary Pallbearers include Joshua Warren, Ray Warren, Jr., David Parsley, Justin Markum and Floyd Anderson.
