School Board Considers Changes In Energy Policy

For the second time, the Cannon County Board of Education discussed an energy analysis report during their monthly meeting Thursday night. Katelyn Pastor with Schneider Electric gave a brief overview of the findings of the energy survey. The company believes Cannon County will save 83 – thousand dollars by making changes to the system. Board member Chris Blackburn said he would like to discuss the report with a few members of the County Commission. After some questions and discussion, the board decided to table the issue again.Changes were made in the system’s policies in regard to mental health.
Jenifer Insell gave the board an update on the installation of the new walk-in cooler at Woodland School. The old cooler was declared surplus and will be removed.
The remainder of the agenda was routine business for the board.
