The Cannon County Board of Education will meet tonight for their regular monthly meeting two weeks after a special called meeting that saw the removal of Cannon County Director of Schools Barbara Parker and the naming of Cannon County High School Government Teacher William Freddy Curtis as Interim. Tonight on the agenda, the Board will discuss his contract and discuss the process to take about appointing a new permanent director of schools. Also on the agenda will be student transfer requests, Board member Tim Powers will address the board concerning requiring parents or guardians to attend board workshops when a transfer request is made. Mr. Powers will also address the Board concerning the attendanceo f the Board attorney at Board meetings. The meeting will be tonight at 6:30 at the Woodbury Grammar School Cafeteria.
