The Cannon County UT Extension office reports that there have been sightings of soybean rust in the county. Soybean rust pus tules were present on 8 of 50 leaves, with an overall severity of less than 1%. To date soybean rust has been confirmed in Giles, Shelby, Madison and cannon Counties in the state. While sentinel soybean leaves will continue to be examined from across the state for soybean rust, it is likley soybean rust is in other counties at very low levels since it has been found in 2 counties in Kentucky.
