The Dekalb County Tigers defense shut out yet another opponent. This time it was the Cannon County Lions. The defense had every answer and reacted quickly on every offensive Lion snap of the ball. The Lions managed 30 carries in the game but most of them went backwards for a total game yardage of negative 67. The passing game only gained 10 yards. The Dekalb County offense put together a collective 378 yards of total offense and that wasn’t counting the big punt and kick returns that the team had. Cannon became the third team in as many games to not be able to score a point against the Tiger Defense en route to a 42-0 Dekalb win. The Lions now will have to get focused for the first of two games on the road this Friday when they travel to Westmoreland.
