Understanding Child Sexual Abuse Meeting Thursday Night

Educators, child care providers, law enforcements officers, youth ministers and any person who spends time with children will benefit from a meeting Thursday night in Woodbury. The Child Advocacy Center and You Have The Power are presenting “A View From The Shadows: Understanding Child Sexual Abuse.”

During this meeting persons will learn how to identify child sexual abuse, what to do if you suspect a child is being sexually abused and learn about resources available in our area. The meeting will consist of a video presentation, panel discussion and questions from the audience.

Certificates of attendance can be used to meet the Department of Human Services requirements all certified daycares must meet for the child sexual abuse training as part of the personal training requirement.

The meeting will begin at 6:30pm and continue until 8:00pm at the Senior Center on Lehman Street. Persons needing additional information can contact Amanda Burks at the Child Advocacy Center, 563-9915.
