Recently Planning Design and Research Engineers of Nashville, recieved samples of the water and ceiling from Stan Dobson, adminstrator of elections of Cannon County for testing. The samples came from the Adams Office Building on West Main Street in which the Election Offices are housedThe ceiling sample provided was tested for asbestos content. The labratory did not find asbestos in the sample. However according to results from a letter to Mr. Dobson, the water sample Dobson submitted to the office had a distinct corrosion color and therefore the engineers had it analyzed for metal content. The results indicate that the water is not of drinking quality. It has a high level of iron, lead, manganese and copper. It may also appear to have other compounds that were not tested to minimize the cost. The testing concluded that the higher concentration may be due to the older plumbing in the building. The building is also home to Cannon County Health Department, Schools Central Office, Food Bank, SAVE, Emergency Medical Services Veterans’s Affairs and the Cannon County Human Resources Agency,
