The Veterans and Concerned Citizens for the Veterans of Cannon Countytonight at the Senior Citizens Center in Woodbury
This is the final meeting for nominations for the 2011 Veterans Day Parade
Grand Marshal, the Service Marshals from the Army Navy, Marines, Air Force
and Coast Guard, as well as the POW Marshall and the Concerned Citizen
Marshal.
In October the Marshals are elected from those who have been nominated.
This year officials are trying to get all World War II veterans to fill
the nominations. If anyone knows of a World War II veteran from any of
the military service branches that would be a nomination please call Jim
Stone at 563-6111. The group is still planning on the Veteran’s Day
Program Friday November 11th and the Annual Veterans Day Parade Saturday
November 12th.
