Warrants Out For Man Who Assaulted Girlfriend

A Cannon County man had warrants served against him after allegedly tying a woman up and beating her in the head.  According to Cannon County Sheriff department reports, Deputies were dispatched to a Cannon County residence.  Upon arrival they spoke to the victim who stated that her boyfriend had tied her up and hit her in the head.  Deputies reported that her face was red and swollen.  The victim stated that he held a knife to her throat and threatened to slit her throat.  The suspect had already left the scene before the deputies got there.  Victim refused transportation to the hospital but did agree to cooperate with prosecuting the boyfriend.  Deputies collected the rope a gan and the knife for evidence.  Two warrants were taken out for the suspects arrest.
